Loay Bridge now fully open to vehicular traffic

The countdown to the long-awaited day for the full opening to vehicular traffic of the newly built iconic bridge in Loay, Bohol has come to an end.

New Clarin Bridge opens only for ‘light vehicles’

The Department of Public Works and Highways has opened the new Clarin Bridge, the 104 meters Neilsen Arch bridge to light vehicles but asks motorists to continue using the alternate reroute, so as to allow the faster mobilization of heavy equipment working for the full opening of the critical highway link. 

Missing Bongo-truck driver, in bridge fall to seal invest

Local investigators are now seeking for information on the identity of the driver and possible passenger of a Bongo pick-up truck that was among the 15 vehicles now up for salvage, if only to seal the investigation as to the survivors and casualties of tragic bridge collapse Wednesday afternoon. 

Gov Yap leads swift response to Loay tragedy

After four batches of dives conducted today by 65 volunteer divers, search and retrieval operations were terminated at 3 p.m. in the waters surrounding Clarin Bridge in Loay, which collapsed yesterday afternoon.
