An off-duty police officer in Bohol died in a night crash Friday after he was thrown from his motorcycle along the national highway in Barangay La Hacienda in Alicia town.
The crash left the 701st Maneuver Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion mourning Patrolman Jun Manuel Pilvera who had been on the force for three years.

“He was respectful, he was courteous,” his colleagues posted on Facebook.
Pilvera, 26, was a resident of Barangay Estaca in Pilar town.
The crash happened around 8 p.m. on Friday, June 7, along the national highway in Barangay La Hacienda in Alicia town. He lost control while driving too fast into a curve road.
His backrider identified as Ronie Pelpinosas, 29, was also injured. He was brought to the hospital for treatment and still in critical condition.
