Two of the five cadavers of slain rebels that died in a gun battle with government troops in Bilar town Friday, are still unclaimed by their relatives, as of press time.
Three of the five NPA cadavers were already claimed last Friday night: the body of Dominggo Compoc, alias “Kumander Cobra”, was claimed by his son, and the cadaver of Marlon Omosura, alias “Darwin” was claimed by his mother.

The remains of lawyer Hannah Jay Cesista, alias Maya/Lean, were claimed on Saturday afternoon, Feb. 24, by her father who arrived from Catubig, Northen Samar.
The remains of Parlito Segovia, alias “Aldrin”, and a certain Juaning,
are still at the Holy Name Funeral Homes in Tagbilaran City, waiting to be claimed by family members.
If no one claims the remains of the slain NPA rebels, they will be buried at the public cemetery.
The five rebels were killed during an encounter in Sitio Matin-ao in Barangay Campagao in Bilar town last Friday morning, February 23.

Lieutenant Colonel Norman Nuez, spokesperson of the Bohol Police Provincial Office (BPPO), said that military and police personnel were reportedly in the area to serve a warrant of arrest.
The warrant of arrest was issued against Compoc and his cohorts. However, when they arrived in the area armed men fired against them.
Police Corporal Gilbert Amper assigned at provincial intelligence unit (PIU) at BPPO was pronounced dead on arrival at Congressman Simeon Toribio Memorial Hospital. Another police officer was injured.
Recovered evidences from the NPA were one unit M16 Baby Armalite;. 1 unit R4 M16; 1 unit M16; and 3 units of caliber .45 pistol.
Scene of the Crime Operatives (Soco) team from Philippine National Police Forensic Science Unit – Bohol were deployed at the area and currently conducting crime scene investigation.
The firefight lasted for two hours and 45 minutes which ended at 9:35 a. m.
At least 250 families or 774 individuals were evacuated to Campagao Covered Court by PNP personnel.
