CSC hails Bohol government’s dynamism

If the provincial government family day was made the basis, Bohol is showing its dynamism.

This was the observation given by Regional Director Carlos Evangelista of the Civil Service Commission during his message on the occasion at the CPG Sports Complex on Sept. 29.  

“Karon ang atong focus dynamism. Og inyo na nang gipakita karong hapona sa inyong unity nianing inyong family day,” Evangelista said as he explained the overarching theme for September as Civil Service Month. 

Evangelista, who revealed that he was baptized in Bohol and in fact named after President Carlos P. Garcia and had worked alongside then Gov. Erico Aumentado, thanked Gov. Aris Aumentado for the invitation to join the Provincial Government of Bohol (PGBh) Family Day. 

Aumentado along with Capitol officials and employees gathered at the CPG Sports Complex Friday late afternoon to close the month-long celebration. 

“Tungod sa inyong mainiton nga suporta, diin nakadasig kanamo nga kami maningkamot usab nga makahatag og serbisyo sa mga katawhan,” Aumentado said in his message. 

A highlight of the celebration was the signing ceremony of the Collective Negotiation Agreement between the PGBh led by Aumentado and the Bohol Provincial Employees League headed by President Susan Datahan. 

The program also featured hiphop and cheer dance competitions participated by cluster of offices namely: Development Administration, Legislative, Infrastructure, Finance, Health, Economic, and Social and Environment clusters. 

Winners of various contests in photography, duet, folk dance, dance sport as well as sports events that were part of lineup of activities for the CSC month were also handed out awards and prizes. 

According to Provincial Administrator Asteria Caberte, the PGBh guided by its strategic agenda towards impacting people, planet and peso is moving into a thorough study on the increase of daily wage for job order workers and the standardization of skill sets. 

She bared that under the helm of Anne Mariquit Oppus, HR Officer, the PGBh is implementing a succession plan and is working on an important middle management training on coaching and mentoring. 

This year’s 123rd Philippine Service Anniversary is celebrated with the overarching 10-year theme  “Transforming Public Service in the Next Decade: Honing Agile and Future-Ready Servant Heroes.”(PIMO/LMS)
