TAGBILARAN CITY — The Philippine Coast Guard has temporarily suspended sea travel to and from Bohol due to Tropical Depression Basyang, which prompted the hoisting of Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 in parts of the Visayas and Mindanao.
The suspension, announced on February 4, covers all vessels and watercraft under the Coast Guard Stations of Western and Eastern Bohol as a precaution against rough seas and bad weather.
Vessels may only be allowed to sail to take shelter, provided no passengers or cargo are on board and with prior clearance from authorities.
Sea travel will resume once weather and sea conditions improve and upon further notice from the Philippine Coast Guard.
