Sen. Maria Imelda Josefa Remedios “Imee” Marcos visited Bohol province on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2022 , to distribute cash aid and packs of “Nutribun” to residents there.

Imee, the older sister of President BongBong Marcos, was accompanied by
Gov. Aris Aumentado, Rep. Vanessa Aumentado, Vice Gov. Dionisio Balite, Tagbilaran Mayor Jane Yap, Tagbilaran City Councilor Atoy Torralba and officials of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) when she made her visit.

The senator’s visit coincided with the distribution of cash aid to 3,000 beneficiaries of DSWD’s Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (Aics) program at the Bohol Cultural Center.

She also visited Mariveles Elem. School to give “nutribun” packs to at least 400 students. “Nutribun,” a bread product introduced by the senator’s late father, Ferdinand Marcos Sr.

In Dauis, she was welcomed by Dauis Mayor Roman Bullen and Vice Mayor Marietta Sumaylo.

She also received 100 roses and cake from the students and teachers as a belated birthday celebration. She turned 70 last Nov. 12.
