The provincial government of Bohol continues to strengthen its border control operations to prevent the entry of live pigs and pork products amid the continuing threat posed by African swine fever (ASF).

Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia has issued an immediate temporary ban on the entry of live hogs, sows, piglets, boar semen, and pork-related products from Bohol province for a period of 60 days after the Department of Agriculture (DA) confirmed the presence of African Swine Fever (ASF) in Pilar town.
