TUBIGON, Bohol — Police arrested a 48-year-old man listed as the Top 3 Provincial Level Most Wanted Person during a manhunt operation in Barangay Potohan, Tubigon, Bohol, on Friday afternoon, August 14.
The Tubigon Municipal Police Station conducted the operation at around 3:30 p.m., resulting in the arrest of the suspect identified only as alias “Monching,” a resident of Inabanga, Bohol.
Police said the suspect was wanted for murder based on a warrant of arrest issued on Aug. 11, 2026, by Judge Maria Carmencita Casareo Obmina, presiding judge of the Regional Trial Court, 7th Judicial Region, Branch 3, in Tagbilaran City.
The operation was conducted under the leadership of PCpt. Mark Jucel Reburiano, officer-in-charge of the Tubigon Municipal Police Station.
The suspect is currently under police custody for proper disposition.
Bohol Police Provincial Office director PCol. Patricio C. Degay Jr. said police work goes beyond patrol operations and the campaign against illegal drugs.
“The police have many responsibilities. It is not only about patrolling and fighting illegal drugs, but also about firmly enforcing the law and bringing violators before the courts,” Degay said.
The Bohol police said it would continue its intensified campaign against criminality through strict law enforcement and the relentless pursuit of wanted persons to help maintain peaceful, orderly and safe communities across the province.
