TAGBILARAN CITY — The boutique expedition ship SH Minerva arrived in the waters off Baclayon on Tuesday, May 5, carrying 97 guests and 113 crew members for a short visit to the province.

The passengers are set to join a half-day immersive tour within the Bohol Island Unesco Global Geopark, showcasing Bohol’s geological sites, biodiversity, and local culture.

The visit supports Bohol’s push for sustainable and experiential tourism, with the province included in the itinerary of Swan Hellenic.

Unlike large cruise liners, the Minerva is designed to access smaller ports, allowing closer interaction with destinations.

This is not the first recent cruise call in Baclayon. On June 26, 2024, the international luxury ship MV Heritage Adventurer also docked at the Baclayon fishing port with around 100 passengers.

After Bohol, the ship will proceed to Romblon, Marinduque, Manila, and Batanes before heading to Japan.
