TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol — The provincial government of Bohol joined the official opening of Clear Insights Philippines Services, Inc., a business process outsourcing and market research company, at the Tayabas Building along Graham Avenue in Cogon District on Tuesday, June 2.

The inauguration was attended by Governor Aris Aumentado and company executives led by Chief Operating Officer Jacob Valentine, Corporate Secretary Retchel Sasing, Tagbilaran Office Manager Ann Migriño, Senior Manager Grant Kane, and Operations Director Samantha Floyd under the leadership of Chief Executive Officer Jeff Welch.

The opening marks Clear Insights’ first operational site in the Philippines, a move that strengthens Bohol’s growing Information technology and business process management (IT-BPM) industry.

Known internationally for its market research and data analytics services, Clear Insights provides strategic studies and insights that support businesses, institutions, and electoral processes in various countries.

Aumentado welcomed the company’s investment, describing it as another milestone in Bohol’s efforts to establish itself as a technology and innovation hub in the Visayas.

“This is the product of our vision—Bohol as one of the emerging IT hubs in the Visayas,” the governor said.

He noted that the area surrounding the former Tagbilaran Airport is gradually developing into a center for information technology and business investments, adding that the provincial government remains committed to supporting companies that choose to expand in Bohol.

Tagbilaran City Mayor Jane Yap also welcomed Clear Insights, saying the company’s arrival further boosts the city’s business environment.

Yap highlighted Tagbilaran’s recognition as the Most Business-Friendly City in the Philippines by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry for four consecutive years, citing the city’s commitment to fostering investments and economic growth.

For her part, Migriño shared how joining Clear Insights enabled her to return home to Bohol after working elsewhere, allowing her to pursue a meaningful career while staying close to her family.

She said the company’s presence creates employment opportunities for Boholanos, including senior high school graduates, college graduates, and qualified undergraduate applicants, reducing the need to seek jobs outside the province.
Valentine praised the local workforce, describing Boholanos as highly capable and dependable employees. He also thanked both the provincial and city governments for their support in establishing the company’s operations.

Economic opportunities

Representatives from the Bohol Economic Development and Investment Promotion Office were also present during the event, underscoring the province’s continued support for investments that generate jobs and economic opportunities.

Currently employing 66 workers in Tagbilaran City, Clear Insights aims to expand its workforce to 200 employees by the end of the year as part of its growth plans in Bohol.

The company’s entry further reinforces Bohol’s position as an emerging destination for IT-BPM investments, contributing to job creation and supporting the province’s goal of achieving inclusive and sustainable economic growth.
