TAGBILARAN CITY—Eight barangays in Inabanga received millions in funding from the provincial government of Bohol on March 28, 2026, during Governor Aris Aumentado’s “Duaw ug Kukabildo” conducted in the barangays, together with Second District Representative Van-van Aumentado.

Barangays Cambitoon and Canlinte each received ₱2,000,000 following requests through barangay resolutions for the completion of their covered courts.

Barangay Anonang received ₱1,500,000 for the improvement of its covered court and ₱140,000 for an SK project, while Barangay Lapacan Norte also received ₱1,500,000 for the rehabilitation of its waterworks system, in addition to an SK project worth ₱110,000.

Meanwhile, Barangays Liloan Norte, Riverside, Tungod, and Lutao each received ₱1,000,000 for infrastructure projects.

Barangay Datag received ₱700,000 for furniture and fixtures, while Barangay U-og received ₱302,500 for needed tables, chairs, and tents.

In total, PGBh released ₱12,252,500 in funding for the needs of ten barangays in Inabanga.

Aumentado stated that it is his administration’s aim for development to start at the barangay level, where it can be directly felt by communities.

These initiatives demonstrate that the government is working for the welfare of the people through inclusive services regardless of political affiliation.

On the other hand, the governor denied allegations of plans to sell water from Inabanga to Cebu.

“Nganong ato mang dal-on ang tubig sa Inabanga sa Cebu nga mas daghan pa ang nanginahanglan og tubig sa atong Probinsya,” said Aumentado.

The governor explained that water sources will be developed for use by Boholanos, particularly in the municipality of Inabanga, to address water issues with solutions coming from within the locality.

He added that he is also ready to support the local government unit of Inabanga should it develop its own water system using local water sources.

For his part, Congresswoman Aumentado urged the public to continue uniting and cooperating to achieve the development that people aspire for.

Meanwhile, the Aumentado couple also visited the municipality of Clarin, where Barangays Tangaran, Nahawan, Buacao, Danahao, and Bonbon received the funding they requested for their projects.

Also on March 27, the Governor visited Loon, where Barangays Catagbacan Handig, Tangnan, Moto Norte, and Basdacu each received ₱1,000,000 in support for their projects.

The activity forms part of the PGBh’s Strategic Governance Roadmap in delivering services and programs that support barangays in addressing their development needs.

The governor emphasized that recipient barangays are granted the authority to implement the projects, along with the responsibility to liquidate the funds and properly manage public resources.

These initiatives and priorities of Aumentado are supported by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan under the leadership of Vice Governor Nicanor Besas. (PIMO/ALT/JSS)
