Friends and family of a Philippine Air Force pilot who died after the helicopter crashed in the seawaters off Jandayan Island in Getafe town, Bohol said they would missed
a great man.

Capt. Aurelios Olano, 32, hailed from Barangay Tugas in Candijay town.

He died around 9:30 a.m. after the Philippine Air Force helicopter crashed in the sewaters off Jandayan Island in Getafe town in Bohol on Tuesday morning.There were four people on board the helicopter.

Lieutenant Colonel Maynard Mariano said the MD520MG attack helicopter was on maintenance flight when it went down around 9:30 a.m. local time.

The aircraft took off from an air force base on nearby Mactan Island in Cebu province, he added.

Mariano said an investigation is underway and will issue an official statement later Tuesday.

Writing on her Facebook page, Pamela Olaso Granada said”Rest in peace agaw ug amo Aurelios Olaso Olano, gigukod gukod ka ganina sa akung tulo ka anak ky kabalo sila ikaw ang sakay sa chopper salamat sa imong pgkamaau dri namu,” said Granda. She added a sad emoticon.
