TAGBILARAN CITY — Several of Bohol’s top tourism sites have modified their operating hours and visitor guidelines on Monday, November 24, as Tropical Depression Verbena brings continuous rains across the province.
In its latest advisory, the Bohol Tourism Office announced precautionary adjustments to ensure the safety of tourists and staff, noting that weather conditions may pose risks, especially in outdoor and water-based attractions.
Can-umantad Falls, the Cadapdapan Rice Terraces, and the Canawa Cold Spring will remain open only until 12 PM today as a safety measure. Personnel have been instructed to limit access and monitor water levels closely.
The Tarsier Sanctuary in Corella will also implement an early closure at 12 PM due to persistent rainfall that could disrupt operations and affect the well-being of both visitors and the tarsiers.
Meanwhile, the Loboc River Cruise will shift to a stationary buffet setup, with all boat movements and water activities suspended for the day. Tourism staff said this adjustment allows guests to enjoy the experience while avoiding the hazards posed by strong currents and rising water levels.
In Dimiao, Dam-agan Falls has been temporarily closed until further notice as heavy rains continue to affect trail access and surrounding terrain.
Provincial tourism officials urged travelers to monitor official announcements, plan trips carefully, and prioritize safety while supporting responsible and sustainable tourism in Bohol.
