TAGBILARAN CITY – The provincial government of Bohol convened an emergency meeting on Monday as part of its preparedness measures for the possible impacts of Tropical Depression Verbena.
The meeting, led by Provincial Administrator Asteria Caberte, brought together key members of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC), including PDRRMO Head Dr. Anthony Damalerio, Pagasa-Bohol OIC Leonardo Samar, Board Member Dionisio Joseph Balite, Capitol department heads, the Bohol Provincial Police Office, DILG, DepEd, the Philippine Coast Guard, and other concerned agencies.
Pagasa has issued a yellow rainfall warning over Bohol for the rest of today and tomorrow, November 25, prompting local authorities to tighten monitoring efforts, especially in flood- and landslide-prone areas.
All agencies assured continued close coordination, guided by the latest weather advisories from Pagasa, to ensure swift response should conditions worsen.
The public is advised to remain alert, prepare necessary safety measures, and follow official announcements from authorities.
