The 911 emergency hotline dubbed the first in Bohol was launched on Friday, April 25, in Tagbilaran City.
The activation of 911 Emergency Hotline was attended by officials of the Tagbilaran City Government and the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).
Mayor Jane Yap said 911 is ifestime, a. Promise and a symbolof a fgovernmwhwnt that out safety first.
“Residents and visitors can expect a real time coordinated and real time life saving response,” she sad.
Hotline 911 will be operated and managed by the Tagbilaran City City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (TCDRRMO) headed by Gerald Lavadia.
Gerald Lavadia, in a press conference, said the hotline can be easily memorized and get faster responses.
He said the local government has assigned three operators who will handle the calls 24 hours a day on shifts.
