The Abante Bol-anon Serbisyo Caravan of the Provincial Government of Bohol is finally back, this time serving Barangay Hanopol Este, Balilihan.
The caravan was held at the Hanopol Gymnasium on April 18.
Aimed at delivering and providing services closer to all Boholanos throughout the province,it is aligned with the Capitol’s strategic change agenda.
Gov. Erico Aristotle Aumentado led the event and expressed delight at the comeback of the caravan. He also thanked the participating offices and the attendees who received its benefits and services.
Balilihan residents and the neighboring town of Catigbian took part in the event with the support of Capitol offices that offered their services.
Participating offices include the Local Government Affairs, the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist, the Provincial Cooperative Development Office, the Provincial Legal Office (PLO) and the Provincial Treasurer’s Office.
The Bohol Employment and Placement Office-Public Employment Service Office, the General Services Office, the Pres. Carlos P. Garcia Municipal Hospital, the Tenorio Patiño Eye Care, and law enforcement agencies also rendered services at the event.
Balilihan barangays that benefited from the caravan services were Cogon, Boyog Sur, Boyog Norte, Boyog Proper, Tagustusan, Hanopol Norte, Hanopol West, Hanopol Este, Del Rosario, and Santo Niño, including Hagbuaya in Catigbian.
A total of 1,786 families also received five kilos of rice and canned goods from the Office of Provincial Social Welfare Development, while 200 children received bags and school supplies from the Education Development Center.
On the other hand, 400 individuals benefited from the free medical check-up and were also provided with medicine and vitamins, 40 beneficiaries received dental treatment, while 20 kids were circumcised.

The Barangay Livestock Aides also received their honorarium of P1,800 each and farming nets for their livelihood through the Office of the Provincial Veterinarian.
With the help of the Register of Deeds, 176 titles were given to land owners in Balilihan and another 76 titles to the Catigbian residents.
PLO gave six constituents free legal advice and 30 beneficiaries for free preparation of documents and notarials.
Meanwhile, the local government unit (LGU) of Catigbian, through Mayor Elizabeth Mandin-Pace, received P2.5 million in financial assistance for their waterworks from the office of the governor, while Barangay Sinakayanan, Catigbian, also received P30,000 for the procurement of an air conditioner.
Board member Lucille Lagunay, lawyer Abel Damalerio, representing Rep. Edgar Chatto of the first district, Balilihan Mayor Pureza Chatto, Vice Mayor Trisha Chatto, LGU-Balilihan officials, barangay captains, and councilors of attending barangays were present at the event. (PiMO/JSS)
