A woman was found dead in a creek at Sitio Lamak in Barangay Bonbon in Calape town on Thursday, Jan. 12.
Calape police identified the victim as Debraliz Castro, a resident of Barangay Sta. Cruz in Calape town.
Police added the victim allegedly suffering from mental illness.
Police said they responded to a call about a deceased body near the creek at around 10 a.m. When the police arrived on the scene, they found a woman’s body.
Dr. Manuel Relampagos III, the municipal health officer, coordinated with Barangay Captain Joseph Cagasan, retrieved the lifeless body floating in creek.
Relampagos who examined the victim said she had drowned. He added there was no sign of struggle and foul play.
Floods this week have caused 626 families or 788 individuals in Bohol province to evacuate.
The incessant rain also damaged a bridge on Pilar town. It also damaged crops.
