Yap asks lawmakers to convene to place Bohol under state of calamity

Gov. Arthur Yap asked provincial lawmakers to convene and pass necesarry resolution to place the province of Bohol under a state of calamity.

In his Executive Order No. 65 Series of 2021 signed on Friday, Dec. 17, 2021, he asked the provincial lawmakers to convene and pass necesarry resolution

“Super Typhoon Odette made a landfall and wreaked havoc in the entire Province of Bohol leaving countless of families homeless and were forccd to take shelter in evacuation centers,” he said.

Based on the initial assessment of thc Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, Super Typhoon Odette severely damaged homes, buildings, establishments and government facilities and infrastructure, as well as communication facilities and power lines, all over the province.

The provincial government of Bohol continues to monitor the situation in the province.
