A fisherman from Southern Leyte who was missing was found alive in Bohol town.
Reysalito Myque Alapag, 42, a resident of Barangay Timba, San Ricardo, Southern Leyte, failed to return from a fishing trip in on Monday night, May 24, as planned and was reported missing by his family.
Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) – Candijay substation said he was drifted to Anda town, Bohol last Tuesday, May 25, 2021.
Alapag was in good physical condition when he was rescued.

According to Alapag, his motorized banca encountered fuel shortage while fishing in the sea waters off Surigao City, Surigao Del Norte. Due to strong current, he was drifted towards the shoreline off Anda, Bohol.
The barangay officials of Suba and Poblacion provided food, water, temporary shelter, fuel and other basic needs to the rescued drifted fisherman.
