Watchers of the night sky were in for a treat tonight, May 26.

The celestial event was that a supermoon and a total lunar eclipse occured simultaneously.

The lengthy name Super Flower Blood Moon was the result of a few astronomical phenomena coming together at once.

The supermoon was visible all over the world, and the full lunar eclipse was also visible in many parts of the world, including the Philippines and the western United States.

However, the total lunar eclipse and Super Flower Blood Moon was briefly seen in most part of Bohol.

At 8:30 p. m., it was covered by dark skies.
