Pilot dies as Air Force helicopter crashes in seawaters off Getafe

A Philippine Air Force helicopter crashed in the sewaters off Jandayan Island in Getafe town in Bohol on Tuesday morning, April 27.

According to a police report, the incident happened at around 9:30 a.m.

There were four people on board the helicopter, the report added.

The helicopter submerged in the seawater.

Anthony Damalerio, Bohol provincial disaster risk reduction and management officer, said local fishermen helped retrieved the bodies.

The fatality was identified as Capt. Aurelios Olano, also a Boholano.

The three soldiers were brought to a hospital in Talibon for treatment.
