A resort in Panglao is under investigation over a party in its premises where guests have reportedly violated some of the province’s health and safety protocols.
“I will have an emergency meeting with the key officials of LGU (local government unit) Panglao after the flag raising ceremony, we will investigate the latest incident involving a party which allegedly breached protocols,” Panglao Mayor Leonila Montero said in a statement on Monday.
It did not name the resort nor provided details as to when the incident happened.
However, in radio station dyRD’s Inyong Alagad, Montero said the foam party was held at Amanzara Resort in Barangay Tawala.
Photos and videos of the foam party were circulated in the social media where people were caught partying without face masks and face shields and disregarding physical distancing.
The resort has yet to release an official statement.
