Five medical front-liners at Gov. Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital (GCGMH) were the first to be inoculated against the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) in Bohol on Saturday, March 6, 2021.

In a ceremonial vaccination held at the GCGMH, Dr. Lawrence Elliot Tirol, senior executive assistant of GCGMH, was the first in Bohol vaccinated.

Cyd Charris Castillo, head of Finance Sevice; Ellan Lyll Salada, head infection control; Flor Anabelle Cesar, assistant chief nurse; and Mary Grace Gallito, chief administrative officer also received the initial doses of Sinovac Biotech vaccine, which were part of the 2,860 vials allocated by the Department of Health to the hospital that arrived Friday.

Gov. Art Yap and Rep. Edgar Chatto witnessed the historic event.
