The municipal government of Sierra Bullones has ordered an indefinite closure of their public market starting Monday, October 26, due to increasing Covid-19 cases in the town.
This was announced by Froilan Halina, the market administrator, through his Facebook account.
Sierra Bullones town has 14 fresh cases of Covid-19, bringing the total to 26.
15 cases were considered local transmissions.
At least 100 vendors were not allowed to operate inside the market.
Vendors from other towns who sell their goods during market day were also prohibited.
The local government has also imposed an extremely restrictive parameter control at the public market being a critical zone as its immediate response to immediately prevent, contain, and mitigate the impact of Covid-19 infection.
It said this period will be used by the municipal government to sanitize and decontaminate the market.
The operation of the public market will resume after the swab results and and policies set to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
