Two new coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases were recorded in Bohol province on Saturday night, according to Gov. Arthur Yap.

In his Facebook post, Yap said the new patients came from Talibon and Bien Unido towns.

He said both have no travel history, neither locally stranded individuals nor overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) nor are they products of contact tracing.

“We classify it as Community Transmission. This is the report we received from the DOH (Department of Health),” Yap said.

The Talibon resident was admitted to Garcia Memorial Provincial Hospital on July 27, 2020 and has been isolated from admission to date. The contact tracing of the case has been completed and all close contacts of the patient have been isolated.

The Bien Unido patient gave birth at the Don Emilio Del Valle Memorial Hospital in Ubay town on July 27, 2020. She had a fever on July 28, so she took swab samples. The patient is continuously isolated and all close contacts of the patient are isolated.

“Bol- anon brothers and sisters, now that our community transmission is increasing we must be careful. Stay at home if necessary,” Yap said.

“Self-discipline is important. Let us follow the minimum health standards. Do not forget to wear a face mask, observe social distancing and always practise cleanliness,” he added.
