The province of Bohol has recorded its 29th Covid-19-related death, a health official announced.
According to Dr. Yul Lopez, spokesman of the Bohol Inter-Agency Task Force (BIATF),
the latest fatality was a 71-year – old resident of Barangay Bool in Tagbilaran City.
He said the immediate cause of the death was acute myocardial infarction (heart attack) leading to respiratory arrest.
When the woman was swabbed, she tested positive of Covid-19.
Last March 21, a 62-year-old woman from Pilar town died due to Covid-19.
Lopez said the woman had comorbidities- in stage kidney disease, diabetis and pneumonia.
As of Thursday (April 8), Bohol has 1,584 confirmed cases, 1,405 recoveries, 150 active cases and 29 deaths.
