Will Bohol downgrade to a general community quarantine status?

Bohol Gov. Arthur Yap seeks a one week period in order to “harmonize” the provisions as set by the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID).

In a televised briefing on Friday morning, the IATF-EID recommended for the downgrading of Bohol province from the current enhanced community quarantine to a general community quarantine status.

However, Yap said that even if he will still finalize it, the following measures against the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic will still remain.

  1. Suspension of domestic air and sea travels until May 15, 2020.
  2. Social distancing
  3. Hygiene
  4. Sanitation
  5. Quarantine Passes
  6. Curfew
  7. Partial liquor ban
  8. Wearing of face masks
  9. Ban on gatherings

NEW NORMAL

Yap said people would have to be used to this “new normal”.

“Anaron nato ang atong kaugalingon sa maong pulong. Ibutang sa huna-huna (We must be used to this term. Put it in our minds),” he said.

“We must learn to live with COVID-19. We must learn to survive with COVID-19. We must not die due to COVID-19,” he added.
