The Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases may have recommended placing Bohol province under a general community quarantine, but this does not mean that there will be any easing on the current measures being implemented against the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.
Gov. Arthur Yap, in a virtual presser on Friday afternoon, said among the current measures that will stay include the suspension of domestic air and sea travels in the province until May 15.
It was last March 16 when Yap ordered for the suspension of domestic air and sea travels after he issued an executive order that placed Bohol under community quarantine for five days. The order was extended for another five days or until April 12.
From the community quarantine that was supposed to end last April 12, Yap announced Executive Order No. 22 that extended and enhanced the existing community quarantine until April 30. Thus, the suspension of domestic air and sea travel was extended.
The increasing number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Cebu and the recommendations of health experts in the province have also prompted the provincial government in issuing the extension.
