The security guard of Southern Star Bus assigned at the Integrated Bus Terminal who returned the cash owned by foreigner was awarded by the bus company.
Leo Rey Yanson, president and chief executive officer of Vallacar Transit Inc. (VTI), the country’s largest bus transport company, applauded Carmelito Retutas, a security guard at Southern Star Bus, a sister company of VTI.
He also handed over a cash reward to Retutas.
Retutas was cited by Yanson for his honesty in returning a wallet left by a Belgian tourist last Jan.15, 2020.
The wallet contained P 30,000.00 cash, four ATM cards, different identification cards and assorted dollar bills at the bus terminal in Tagbilaran City, Bohol.
