A woman in Barangay Popoo in the island-municipality of President Carlos P. Garcia (PCPG) on Tuesday stabbed his common-law husband.
The victim was identified as Mark Anthony Sente, 40, a resident of Barangay Popoo.
Police said Sente sustained a stab wound in his stomach after he was attacked by his wife Cristy Fortuna, 28, at 2 p.m.
Sente was drinking water while roasting a pig in a neighbor’s house when his wife suddenly attacked him.
The victim was immediately rushed to a hospital in Ubay town but he was transferred to Gov. Celestino Gallares Memorial hospital in Tagbilaran City for further treatment.
It was not known what triggered the wife to stab her partner.
