A Boholano Bishop, who now leads the Catholic church in Surigao, reminded churchgoers of God’s love that is “always personal, intimate, and life changing”.

Bishop Antonieto “Yiet” Cabajog officiated the 11:30 a.m. Holy Mass on Monday, January 20, 2020 at the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño de Cebu in Cebu City.

The bishop of the Diocese of Surigao said that the craving for love is “our deepest emotional need, and we feel it and are drawn to others when they speak love in our language”.

This same principle applies to the most important relationship—our relationship with God, he added.

“God speaks the language of Love. God speaks the language of Peace. and God speaks the language of Forgiveness,” he told the devotees and churchgoers in attendance in this morning’s mass.

The Roman Catholics from different parts of the country celebrated on January 19th, the Feast of the Santo Niño (Holy Child Jesus).
