Typhoon Ursula has already made landfall in Salcedo town, Eastern Samar at 4:45 p.m. this afternoon bringing heavy rains and violent winds there.

In a media briefing at 5 p.m. today, Chris Perez, senior weather specialist of state weather bureau Pagasa, said there were more than 40 areas in the country with typhoon signal.

Bohol province is now placed under Signal No. 1.

Earlier, Pagasa only placed northeastern Bohol with a storm signal.

With this, all sea trips are suspended until the storm signal is lifted.

A video sent to Bohol Island News (BIN) by Nathanael Boyonas of Brgy. Bood, Ubay town, showed they are now experiencing moderate to heavy rains there.

Meanwhile, Pagasa also issued Yellow Warning for Bohol this afternoon.

Pagasa said flooding is possible in low-lying areas and landslides in mountainous areas.
