Pastor Apollo Quiboloy of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ has claimed that he did not stop typhoon Tisoy from destroying parts of the country because of his detractors.

“Kasi ‘yung ini-stop ko ‘yung earthquake, nagalit man sila. Binash ako nang napakarami. So baka i-stop ko ‘yung bagyo, baka magalit na naman,” he said in a video posted on his Facebook page.

“Hindi ko alam kung anong gagawin ko kasi ‘pag pina-stop mo, nagagalit. ‘Pag hindi mo pina-stop, nagagalit din,” the 69-year-old founder added.

He also said he would just help those who got affected by both the typhoon and the Mindanao earthquakes.

“Ang hindi ma-stop diyan, ‘yung tulong namin, sa ating mga kababayan. Kasi panata ko ‘yun, sa mga maka-langit,” Quiboly said.

In October, Quiboloy claimed he yelled at, and ordered the earthquakes that devasted parts of Mindanao to stop and prevent further damage.

The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said the typhoon claimed 7 lives in Mimaropa, 4 in Eastern Visayas, and 2 in Calabarzon.
