In its first five days, the ‘Kasadya Pasko sa Bohol’ Christmas market raked in total sales of P1.1 million.

The curated marketplace is organized by the Provincial Government from the concept of Gov. Art Yap who has put a premium on tourism as the main economic driver of Bohol.

Kasadya is pushing for and promoting distinct Boholano culture and tradition expressed in products displayed and sold by local entrepreneurs and startups in support for tourism and agriculture development.

Featuring local cuisine, farm produce, processed food, arts and handicrafts, plants and ornamentals, the Christmas bazaar is ongoing at the Carlos P. Garcia Park and will run until December 15.

The Belen installation contest is also ongoing in participating towns across the province and the chosen finalists will be displayed at the Kasadya Christmas market starting December 1.

In addition to the Belen contest, the enduring tradition of the Dayegon is also revitalized through a contest that will be held at the Bohol Cultural Center on December 13.
