‘Broken-hearted’ man hangs self in Loboc

A 21-year-old man who was believed to have committed suicide was found dead in Loboc town on Tuesday afternoon.

Police Staff Sergeant Urven Molina of Loboc Police Station identified the victim as Michael Jowie Bantugan.

Bantugan was found hanging inside his house around 5 p.m. on Sept. 17, he said.

Probers said there was also no indication of foul play.

In an investigation, police found out that Bantugan wanted to be lonely in the past days according to his friends.

He also had a quarrel with his girlfriend last Saturday but the latter told police the gap was already ironed out last Sunday.
