TAGBILARAN CITY — A woman with a disability (PWD) who is deaf and mute has accused a bus conductor of harassment while she was travelling with her daughter in Bohol early Sunday, November 1.
The woman shared a video of the alleged incident on social media, saying she and her daughter were on their way to church at around 4 a.m. when the incident happened.
In the video, the male conductor was touching the woman’s lap. He was allegedly seen making obscene gestures and touching his private parts while inside the bus.
The woman expressed anger over the alleged misconduct, saying she felt disrespected despite being a person with a disability.
“Don’t touch my body! Who are you? Why did you, as a bus conductor, disrespect me?” she wrote in her social media post.
The video drew reactions from netizens, with many expressing concern over the alleged treatment of the PWD passenger.
There was no immediate statement from the bus company regarding the allegation.
