PANGLAO, Bohol — Police have ruled out foul play in the death of a 36-year-old security guard who was found lifeless inside a guardhouse at a construction site in Barangay Lourdes, Panglao, on Tuesday morning, November 3, 2026.

Police Capt. Kentbel Ceasar Parcon, chief of the Panglao Police Station, said there was no indication that the victim, identified as Eulalio Abadingo Jr., a resident of Barangay Looc, Panglao, had been shot.

“No bullet wounds or entrance and exit wounds were found on the victim’s body. Based on our initial investigation, the victim suffered a heart attack,” Parcon said.

However, the attending physician determined that Abadingo died from severe brain injury and intracerebral bleeding, or bleeding inside the brain, reportedly caused by an accident.

He was believed to have sustained the injuries in a minor motor vehicle crash that was not immediately treated.

Barangay officials received a report at around 7 a.m. regarding the discovery of Abadingo’s body inside the guardhouse at Purok 3, where he was assigned as a security guard.

Parcon’s statement came amid social media posts suggesting that the victim had been shot.
