TAGBILARAN CITY — Bohol Light has rolled out an automated SMS payment notification system that allows customers to receive text confirmations once their electricity bill payments have been successfully posted to their accounts.
The utility company said the service, which took effect on November 1, sends real-time payment confirmations for transactions made through accredited Third-Party Collecting Agents (TPCAs).
The new feature is intended to reduce the need for customers to visit Bohol Light offices to verify whether their payments have been received and credited.
By sending confirmations directly to customers’ mobile phones, the company said the system aims to make bill monitoring more convenient and accessible.
Bohol Light said the initiative is part of its ongoing digital modernization efforts to improve customer service and simplify account management for consumers across its service area.
