TAGBILARAN CITY— A two-story house owned by an elderly couple was completely destroyed by fire in Barangay Cabacnitan, Bilar, Bohol, shortly after noon on Monday, November 2, All Souls’ Day.
The homeowners were identified as Faustino Cinco, 85, and his wife, Felina Cinco, 82.
Based on the initial investigation by Fire Officer 3 Alvin Autentico, fire investigator, the blaze started on the second floor of the house.
A candle burning at an altar inside one of the rooms was considered a possible cause of the fire.
The couple were outside the house when the fire broke out.
The fire completely gutted the two-story residence, causing an estimated P150,000 in property damage.
Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the exact cause of the fire.
