DAUIS, Bohol — Police seized more than P3.7 million worth of suspected shabu and arrested a 31-year-old high-value individual (HVI) during a buy-bust operation in Barangay San Isidro, Dauis, Bohol.
The operation was jointly conducted by the Bohol Police Provincial Office (BPPO) and the Dauis Municipal Police Station.
Authorities recovered 551.1 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated standard drug price of P3,747,480. Also confiscated were the marked buy-bust money and the motorcycle allegedly used by the suspect in the illegal drug transaction.
Police said the successful operation resulted from an intelligence-driven initiative carried out under the directive of Bohol Provincial Director Col. Patricio Degay Jr., as part of the intensified campaign against illegal drugs in the province.
The arrested suspect will face charges for violating Sections 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) and 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The suspect remains in police custody while the appropriate criminal charges are being prepared for filing.
