CEBU CITY — Ferry operator OceanJet has announced a temporary fuel surcharge adjustment affecting its Cebu–Tagbilaran route, citing the continued rise in fuel prices.
In an advisory, the company said the increase will apply only to Business Class accommodations starting Tuesday, March 17, 2026.
The updated one-way fare for Business Class passengers is now set at P1,400 for trips between Cebu and Tagbilaran.
OceanJet apologized to passengers for the inconvenience, emphasizing that the adjustment is temporary and will be lifted once fuel prices stabilize.
The firm also assured the public that it is closely managing its operations to maintain safe, efficient, and reliable sea travel services despite fluctuating fuel costs.
Passengers are advised to check updates through OceanJet’s official communication channels, including its Facebook page, ticketing offices, and authorized agents, for any further fare adjustments.
