CATIGBIAN, Bohol — The local government of Catigbian has offered a cash reward to anyone who can provide credible information leading to the arrest of suspects involved in two separate robbery incidents in Bohol.
Catigbian Mayor Benjie Oliva said the LGU is offering a P50,000 cash reward for each case to individuals who can help authorities solve the robberies.
The incidents occurred in Poblacion, Catigbian, where the victims were a seafarer and his wife, and in Barangay Bosongon, Tubigon, where the victim was a public school teacher from Catigbian.
The latest incident involved the robbery of the teacher along the national highway in Barangay Bosongon, Tubigon. The victim reportedly lost jewelry, including a ring, necklace, and other personal belongings.
According to the Tubigon Municipal Police Station, the robbery occurred shortly after 8 a.m. on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. The suspects were reportedly riding in tandem and remain unidentified as they were wearing bonnets that concealed their faces.
In a statement, Oliva strongly condemned the robbery, particularly the attack against the teacher, and assured the public that the local government is taking the incident seriously.
“We are offering a P50,000 cash reward for each case to anyone who can provide reliable information that will lead to the identification and arrest of the suspects,” Oliva said.
Police authorities said investigations are ongoing to identify and apprehend those responsible for the crimes, while urging the public to cooperate and report any information that may help solve the cases.
