Two major road improvement projects in Dauis, Bohol, were formally turned over to local officials on Saturday, Nov. 29, marking another milestone in the town’s infrastructure development.

Despite earlier challenges, the provincial government successfully completed the Mayacabac–Poblacion road project in Dauis. The P30-million project was turned over by the provincial government, led by Vice Governor Nick Besas and the Provincial Engineering Office, to Barangay Mayacabac. The ceremony was attended by Dauis Mayor Marietta Sumaylo, barangay captains of Mayacabac, Mariveles, and Totolan, and other local officials.

Another project—the P10-million shouldering and reblocking of the Mariveles–Totolan Concrete Road—was also turned over during the event. Both projects were implemented by the Provincial Engineering Office with support from the local government unit of Dauis.

“We will continue to work together for the welfare of the community, ensuring that taxpayers’ money is used for meaningful and beneficial projects,” Governor Aris Aumentado said.
