DAUIS, BOHOL — Fifteen orphaned children from Sunshine Home in Bohol received an early Christmas treat on Saturday, Nov. 29, through the “Creative English for Hope Program” of Do-No Pool Villa and Spa, bringing joy, learning, and warm holiday cheer to the young beneficiaries.

The outreach activity aimed to share the spirit of kindness by introducing the children to fun and meaningful English learning sessions while also providing them with care, gifts, and meals. The program focuses on building children’s confidence, improving basic communication skills, encouraging creativity through club-based activities, and nurturing a sense of belonging through interaction with teachers and volunteers.

A hearty meal was shared by all participants, followed by the distribution of small gift packs containing school supplies such as notebooks, pencils, and crayons.

Do-No Pool Villa and Spa, located along Acacia Street in Purok 6, Barangay Tabalong, Dauis, houses a spa, the Creative English Center, the Do-No Fresh Café, and villas each equipped with a private pool.

Sue Shin, director of the Creative English Center, said “Do-No” means “gift from God,” reflecting the center’s mission to provide meaningful learning experiences for children.

“A villa should be a place for unforgettable days, where families relax, laugh, and make memories together,” Shin added.

She also highlighted special offerings, including a limited-time 50 percent discount at their spa, and engaging English classes for children — giving parents time to relax while their kids learn in an enjoyable environment.

The Do-No Fresh Café, known for its bagels and treats, is now also available via GrabFood for convenient ordering.

Mariele Cenidoza, head teacher of the Creative English Center, said they focus on making education enjoyable through four rotating clubs that provide a holistic learning experience:

Reading and Comprehension Club

Expression Club (music, art, creativity)

Creative Arts Club

Energy Club (physical skills and movement)

They also offer an eight-day nature-focused camp where students explore the environment of Bohol. Program activities are customized to the needs of learners.

“Bohol is the right place for family education,” Shin said. “Education is important for children — and here, they have the opportunity to experience the real world and what true learning means.”
