Walay klase: Bohol LGUs suspend classes on Monday, Nov. 24 as heavy rainfall looms

TAGBILARAN CITY – Several local government units (LGUs) in Bohol have suspended face-to-face classes for Monday, November 24, due to the threat of heavy rainfall in the coming days.

Face-to-face classes in all levels for public and private schools have been suspended in Tagbilaran City.

Mayor Jane Yap said that upon the recommendation of the CITY DISASTER RISK REDUCTION & MANAGEMENT OFFICE (CDRRMO), and for the safety of our students, I am suspending Face – to – Face Classes in all levels (public & private) in Tagbilaran City tomorrow.

She said All Barangay Disaster Units are now placed on RED ALERT for possible flooding, landslides, and emergency response.

“Please secure your homes, avoid flood-prone areas, and report incidents immediately,” she said.

Pagasa is anticipating an Orange Rainfall Warning (100–200 mm/hr) for Bohol by Nov 24–25, which may bring heavy to intense rains, widespread flooding, and landslides in susceptible areas.

Classes in all levels of public schools have been cancelled in Mabini, Getafe, Garcia Hernandez, Jagna, Tubigon.

To facilitate continuous learning, some LGUs have directed the use of alternative class modes in their localities.
