TAGBILARAN CITY- Around 10,000 visitors are expected to pay respect to their loved ones at the Victoria Memorial Park in this year’s observance of Kalag-Kalag (Undas), its management said Friday.
Aurelio “Ondoy” Gahit, caretaker of Victoria Memorial Park, said this estimated number is based on their recorded number of visitors in previous years.
“Based on our records, around or more than 10,000 people are expected this year,” he said.
Victoria Memorial Park is the final resting place of many prominent figures, including Gov. Erico Aumentado, Obdulio and Juana Caturza Sr., Antonio Ong Guat, and many others.
Outside the cemetery, the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office has already set up an incident command post inside the park.
