TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol – The Philippine Councilors League (PCL) Bohol Chapter has officially proclaimed its newly elected officers following the provincial chapter elections held Friday evening, August 22.
Cortes Councilor Joahna Cabalit-Initay emerged as the new President, defeating San Isidro Councilor Gloria Gementiza, who was backed by Team Abante Bohol.
Alongside Cabalit-Initay, the following officers were elected:
• Executive Vice-President: Glenn Rey Anino
• Internal Vice-President: Fausto “Bebot” Budlong
• External Vice-President: Angelyn Camacho
• Vice-President, 1st District: Archie Lungay
• Vice-President, 2nd District: Gerry Garay
• Vice-President, 3rd District: Vic Jotojot
For the secretariat and finance positions:
• Secretary General: Rammel Cagulada
• Deputy Secretary: Ronald Malanog
• Treasurer: Rhea Pon Martinez
• Assistant Treasurer: Lynbell Gamutan-Cafe
Other elected officers include:
• Auditor: Virgelle Gail Jao
• Public Relations Officer: Ma. Rowena Sajonia
• Assistant PRO, 1st District: Joel Ocho
• Assistant PRO, 2nd District: Ralph Celocia
• Assistant PRO, 3rd District: Anastacio Suaybaguio Jr.
• Business Manager: An Baja
• Assistant Business Manager: Efren Mandin
The Board of Directors is composed of Kien Alphe Garsuta, Paul Vincent Cepedoza, Christian Paul Ordoñez, Al Coquilla, Willou Tan, John Louis Deligero, Rey Anthony Supanga, and Eduardo Torremocha.
As the new president, Initay vowed to broaden the PCL’s programs and activities by strengthening seminars, trainings, and benchmarking initiatives, while also providing members with better access to travel assistance, rebates, and international opportunities. She also underscored the importance of extending insurance coverage for councilors, with the possibility of including their families if resources allow.
The election ushers in a new leadership chapter for PCL-Bohol as the officers assume the responsibility of promoting unity and amplifying the voice of councilors across the province.
As PCL-Bohol President, Initay will also serve as an ex-officio member of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Bohol.
