TAGBILARAN CITY — Bohol Governor Aris Aumentado has cautioned establishments and the public against individuals posing as him to avail of free accommodations in hotels and restaurants in the province.
In a social media advisory posted Friday night, August 22, Aumentado urged vigilance, warning businesses not to be deceived by calls or text messages claiming to be from his office.
“Kung adunay tawag o text nga nag-angkon nga gikan nako, ayaw dayon pagtuo. Una gyud nga i-check ug i-verify aron malikayan ang pagpangilad,” the governor said.
Aumentado clarified that he never personally calls or sends messages to hotels and restaurants to make reservations or request accommodations.
“Magbantay ta kanunay ug dili magpadala sa mga dautang binuhatan,” he added.
