TAGBILARAN CITY, BOHOL — In a historic win, Jacky Fe Tahakim Melencion, a proud member of the Badjao community in Dauis, was crowned Miss Bohol 2025 on Saturday night, July 19, becoming the first Badjao to earn the coveted title.
Melencion captivated the judges and audience alike with her poise, wit, and grace, also bagging several special awards, including Best in Interview and Darling of the Press. Her costume “Asuncion de Dauis Faithfuls” earned her the Best Boholana Design award during the BOHOLANA Year Four competition.
A trailblazer in her community, Melencion is also the first Badjao elected as a Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) councilor and is currently pursuing a degree in Medical Technology—a feat that further inspired many during the coronation night.
Rounding out the court of honor were:
First Runner-up: Miss Buenavista
Second Runner-up: Miss Tagbilaran
Third Runner-up: Miss Guindulman
Fourth Runner-up: Miss Talibon
Melencion’s victory marks a significant moment for inclusion and representation, celebrating diversity in Bohol’s vibrant cultural landscape.
