The Police Regional Office 7 (PRO7) welcomed 601 new patrol officers from Public Safety Basic Recruit Course Regional Training Center (PSBRC RTC) 7 Class 2024-01 “LEGIONS” during a graduation ceremony held on June 20, 2025, at the Regional Training Center 7 in Consolacion, Cebu.

Composed of 489 men and 112 women, the recruits completed six months of rigorous training focused on law enforcement, community policing, firearms handling, internal security, and human rights.

PRO7 Regional Director PBGEN Redrico A. Maranan, the guest of honor, praised the graduates for their dedication and urged them to embody integrity and excellence as frontliners in public service.

“You are the face of change. Let your actions earn the people’s trust and respect,” PBGEN Maranan told the graduates.

The new officers, grouped under the class name “LEGIONS” (Law Enforcers Guided with Integrity and Obedience toward the Nation’s Success), will be deployed across various police units in Central Visayas to support peacekeeping and community policing efforts.

Maranan also emphasized PRO7’s strategic focus on enhanced police presence, rapid response, and strong action against drugs, crime groups, and private armed groups—anchored on the goal of building a “Safe Region 7.”

The event was attended by police officials, training staff, families, and community stakeholders, celebrating the start of the officers’ journey in upholding law, peace, and public trust in the region.
